Visit of a delegation from Macquarie University, Australia

On November 18, 2016, a delegation led by Prof. Barbara Messerle, Executive Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Macquarie University, Australia visited the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, in order to sign in the Memorandum of Understanding and International Student Exchange Agreement between our university.
The delegation paid a courtesy call to Dean Tanaka, and then had discussions on future exchange with Dean Tanaka and Prof. Fujita responsible for international affairs.

Visit of a delegation from Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and Vietnam Japan University (VJU), the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

On June 3, 2016, a delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, visited the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University. The delegation paid a courtesy call to Dean Tanaka, and then visited the Research Alliance Laboratories to see our various university-industry collaboration activities.

On October 8, 2015, Ms. Jodien Houwers, MA, Senior Policy Advisor, International Relations, University of Groningen, Kingdom of the Netherlands, visited the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, to promote a potential of academic collaboration between both faculties.

Signing ceremony for the Agreement on Double Degree Program with Mahidol University, the Kingdom of Thailand

On the 21st of April 2015, a delegation from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, the Kingdom of Thailand, visited the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, in order to sign in the Agreement on Double Degree Program.
In this regard, among several English programs which have fostered and educated a number of international students, "Biotechnology Global Human Resource Development Program" has hereby entered into force as Double Degree Master's Program in Osaka University in cooperation with Mahidol University.

On December 5 (Fri) 2014, a delegation from School of Life Sciences and Technology, Institut Teknologi, Bandung, Republic of Indonesia: Dean Professor, Tati Suryati Syamsudin, Vice Dean Dr. Pingkan Aditiawati, Head Dr. Anggraini Barlian, Department of Biotechnology, and Dr. Dea Indriani Astuti, visited Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, in order to sign in the Agreement on Double Degree Program.
From Osaka side, Dean Tomoyuki Kakeshita, Professor Fukusaki, Professor Fujiyama, Professor Muranaka, and Professor Watanabe, Division of Advanced Science and Biotechnology, attended the signing ceremony. Signing Ceremony for the Agreement on PhD Double Degree Program with the Philippine Normal University, Republic of the Philippines

A delegation from the Philippine Normal University (PNU), Philippines, led by the PNU President, Dr. Ester Ogena, visited the Graduate School of Engineering at Osaka University for the signing of the memorandum of agreement for the double degree program on Nov. 25 (Tues), 2014. The PNU President was joined by 3 other delegates including Dr. Zenaida Reyes, the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research.
Prof. Tomoyuki Kakeshita, Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering, together with Prof. Hideaki Kasai and a senior faculty member, represented Osaka University for the signing ceremony. Among the English programs for international students at Osaka University, the International Priority Graduate Program of "Quantum Engineering Design Course" is the first to enter this newly established collaboration with the Philippine Normal University through the double degree Ph.D. program.

Delegation from the Mahidol University, Kingdom of Thailand

On October 20th (Mon) 2014, Vice President for International Relations and executives from the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, Thailand, visited our school to promote potential academic collaboration between both faculties. From our side, Prof. Kakeshita (Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering), Prof. Fujiyama (International Center for Biotechnology), and Prof. Fujita (Center for International Affairs, Graduate School of Engineering) welcomed the delegation and attended the session. The meeting ranged over student exchange, double degree program, exchange of teaching staff, and possible joint research. The delegation also paid a laboratory tour to Ultra Clean Facility (Research Center for Ultra-Precision Science and Technology), Area of Biosystems and Devices, and Research Center for Ultra-High Voltage Electron Microscopy followed by a discussion with our faculty.

Signing Ceremony for the Agreements on PhD Double Degree Programs with the Institut Teknologi Bandung, Republic of Indonesia

On June 19th (Thu.) 2014, the deans and contributing staff of Faculty of Industrial Technology and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the Institut Teknologi Bandung (Republic of Indonesia) visited our graduate school in order to conclude agreements on a double degree program.
From our graduate school, Dean Prof. Kakeshita, Vice Dean Prof. Tanaka, and Prof. Kasai (Division of Precision Science & Technology and Applied Physics) and contributing staff attended the signing ceremony. Among the English programs which have offered education to many international students, the International Priority Graduate Program of "Quantum Engineering Design Course" will take the initiative in establishing the first double degree Ph.D. program at Osaka University, in collaboration with the Institut Teknologi Bandung, Republic of Indonesia.
